Help

Thank you for visiting the Yell Group web site.

Some parts of this site require you to have certain software plug-ins on your system in order to access many of the features of the site. A plug-in is a small piece of software that works with the browser to give you extra functionality e.g. sound and animation.

This page provides links to software plug-in sources, allowing you to obtain programmes to read Adobe PDF files, listen to audio, and view videos. In addition, links are provided to sites offering the latest web browsers from Microsoft and Netscape. All such software is available free of charge.

Adobe PDF.
Where there is a lot of written material associated with a website that you might want to print off, that material may be saved as a PDF file (Portable Document Format). This allows the document to retain its formatting and yet be easily printed. To download these PDF files you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in. You can download this direct from Adobe.

Video/Audio
The media clips on this site can be viewed using either Windows Media Player or the default video player plug-in on your system.

Windows Media Player is a small piece of software that allows 'streaming' audio and video. This means that rather than downloading the entire sound or video file at once, the file is 'streamed' to your computer in real time, much like a television or radio broadcast. Click the link to download the free Windows Media Player.

Browsers
In order to view the more advanced features of this site, it is important that you have an up-to-date browser. Using the latest generation browsers enables more advanced content and faster navigation, as well as new features designed to enhance your browsing experience. The most commonly used are Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator, which are both available free of charge.
